One of the fastest growing business units, Energy Division, is looking for someone that will take the head of this Division. We support our customers in a variety of areas including Nuclear Building Design, Project Management and Site Construction. In order to meet rapidly growing market and customer demands, we are recruiting a Senior Manager to strengthen the organisation and support further business development.
The Senior Manager UK Energy will report to the UK Energy Division Director in charge of business development and project execution for Energy Division. This role will be based in London.
As Senior Manager UK Energy Division, you will carry the following mission:
1. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & STRATEGY
• Develop the sales strategy for the entity within a given perimeter, generally within a business sector: number of Managers, targets to be worked on, etc.
• Distribute the customer portfolio among the different Managers in the team.
• Steer and monitor the sales actions of the team.
• Maintain a strategic, technological and economic watch on trends in the sector, competitors, and the type of offer best suited to customer requirements,
• Manage crises by redeploying to a new scope and repositioning agency consultants,
• Set up structured offers in collaboration with the Account Manager (work-package…).
2. FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE
• Manage the team by optimizing the gross margin of your activity and that of the Managers you supervise,
• Improve the team’s cash flow through regular customer reminders, invoicing follow-up, etc.
• Carry out financial reporting for his/her Business Unit (collection, aggregation and analysis of commercial information, mainly from Score) and initiate actions if necessary.
• Further develop your profit centre with full P&L responsibility
3. LEADERSHIP / TEAM MANAGEMENT
• Manage a team of +60 consultant and with Business Managers as direct reports.
• Support/train Business Managers in all aspects of the business (sales, recruitment, management of consultants, management of managers),
• Set salary conditions for consultant candidates, and lead them to the signing of contracts,
• Participate in the recruitment of Business Managers,
• Ensure that HR actions are carried out properly (weekly meetings,

The profile
· Graduated in Engineering or Business School (master’s degree).
· F/M with at least 3-5 years of successful experience in similar industry, understand Alten’s business model
· Good learning skills, with passion of Aerospace industry.
· Demonstrated leadership ability to manage a medium-sized team of over 60 team members.
· Has proven experience to manage P&L, be able to monitor the team’s financial status and initial the action planning to improve the team’s financial result.
· High level of commercial awareness, with the ability to consolidate existing clients and develop new business.
· Target driven and results focused individual
· Strong communicator
· English professional language skills is required.
