We are seeking 2 Hardware Systems Engineers to join our Templecombe team in the defence sector, working on underwater systems. The role is hybrid (3 days a week on site) and due to the nature of the defence industry will require successful applicant to be a sole British citizen eligible for security clearance 

Main responsibilities 

 

  • Customer Documentation: Review customer documentation and draft detailed responses by sourcing data from the PALMA / DOORS system for PDA approval.
  • CDRL Documentation: Develop and finalise Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) documents for PDA approval.
  • Systems Integration Support: Collaborate with customers to facilitate the integration of underwater defence systems.
  • Manufacturing Support: Provide onsite assistance to manufacturing teams during the production phase of underwater systems.
  • Adhoc Requirements: Address additional tasks and requirements as they arise.

 

  • Strong hardware background with experience in electronic assemblies, experience with sensors is a plus.
  • Proficient in using PALMA and DOORS systems.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to support both systems integration and manufacturing teams effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle adhoc requirements.
  • Previous experience in the defence industry, particularly with underwater systems, is highly desirable.
