What will you be doing? 

As a Principal Thermal Engineer, you will join Bristol team to support our activities within the Energy sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Conducting aerothermal design and analysis of core turbomachinery components such as compressors and turbines.
• Interpreting thermal analysis results and integrate findings into engineering design practices to enhance performance and reliability.
• Developing and refining high-temperature thermal models for turbomachinery components.

Who are we looking for? 

• Engineers with experience in support and development programs on instrumentation requirements, test planning, and pre and post-test activities and reporting.
• Engineers with experience in performing combined CFD/Thermal/Stress conjugate heat transfer analysis for turbomachinery components.

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with demonstrable experience. 
• Proficient in thermal analysis software.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
• Experience with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tools.
• Familiar with renewable energy systems and technologies is a plus.
