What will you be doing? 

As a Safety & Reliability Engineer, you will join our Wolverhampton team to support our activities within the Aerospace sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Review designs and evaluate any design changes for the impact these changes have on reliability and safety of the product;
  • Specify Safety & Reliability requirements for any external system components that are brought into the product cycle;
  • Support all types of risk analysis, identifying the risks and proposing any methods to assist with this analysis;
  • Define test requirements for systems/components to achieve full compliance with safety & reliability requirements;
  • To ultimately provide and share your expertise to safely and reliably guide the entirety of the process’.

Who are we looking for?

  • An individual who is able to move straight into an existing team and pick up from that point of the project;
  • Someone who either has, or able to, obtain and maintain UK SC-Level Security Clearance;
  • An individual who is proficient in Failure Modes & Effects Analysis as well as Fault Tree Analysis;
  • Must have a Masters or Bachelors degree within a relevant field of engineering;
  • Must hold the full right to work within the UK.

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

  • 5+ Years of Experience within Safety Engineering, highly preferential if this is within Aerospace/Defence sectors;
  • Due to the nature of the project and this project being within the UK Aerospace Sector, with exposure to elements of UK Defence, this comes with the mandatory requirement of yourself having SC level security clearance within the UK. Therefore, for this role, we need individuals who are either, already SC Cleared and/or sole UK nationals;
  • You must be capable of assessing system designs and proposing design alterations to ensure full safety compliance.
