What will you be doing? 

As a mechanical design engineer, you will join Solihull team to support our activities within the aerospace sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using advanced CAD software.
• Apply GD&T principles to ensure precise and accurate designs.
• Design for Manufacturability (DFM) to ensure designs are optimized for production.
• Create and optimize designs for electronic enclosures and other mechanical components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are met.
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulations

Who are we looking for? 

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Strong understanding of GD&T.
• Experience with DFM principles.
• Proven experience in designing electronic enclosures and automotive components

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

• 5+ Years of Experience  in mechanical design, with a focus on 3D modelling and 2D drawings
• Must have a Masters or Bachelors degree within a relevant field of engineering
