What will you be doing? 

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will join our Derby  team to support our activities within the Aerospace sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Lead and manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for new products and components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transition of products from design to manufacturing.
• Conduct hands-on shop floor activities to understand and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Utilize project management skills to plan, coordinate, and execute manufacturing projects effectively.
• Develop and implement robust Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) plans.
• Create detailed control plans and inspection plans to ensure product quality.
• Leverage tools such as NET-Inspect for inspection and quality assurance.
• Have exposure to CAD tools for design and engineering collaboration.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and quality engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record in NPI process management.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques.
• Proficiency in using quality tools and methodologies (e.g., PFMEA, control plans).
