Job Description

What will you be doing? 

As a DFMEA ENGINEER , you will join Gaydon team to support our activities within the Automotive  sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Create and maintain Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) documents.
  • Conduct prework activities to ensure readiness for DFMEA sessions.
  • Support subsystem and other commodity teams to excel in DFMEA processes.
  • Perform Robustness Check Lists (RCL) for battery packs on MLA, EMA, and JEA models.
  • Identify technical and process gaps through thorough analysis.
  • Develop and implement strategies for closing identified gaps.
  • Host and facilitate technical workshops to drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance design reliability and performance.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in DFMEA creation and maintenance within the automotive industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with performing Robustness Check Lists (RCL).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and gap analysis expertise.
