Job Description

What will you be doing? 

As an Electronic Test Engineer, you will join our Burton on Trent team to support our activities within the Rail sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Test and validate electronic systems, with a focus on PCB designs, ensuring they comply with rail industry standards.
  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures for electronic components and systems used in rail applications.
  • Conduct functional, performance, and safety testing on electronic hardware, ensuring reliability in rail environments.
  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test reports, procedures, and results.

Who are we looking for? 

  • Proven experience as an Electronic Test Engineer, ideally within the rail sector.
  • Strong experience with PCB design testing and validation processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant railway standards (e.g., EN 50155, EN 50121).

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

  • Familiarity with test automation tools and software.
  • Experience with railway communication protocols and systems.
  • Knowledge of safety-critical systems in the rail industry.
