Job Description

What will you be doing? 

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will join our team in Derby to support our activities within the Aerospace sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Design and develop instrumentation systems using Siemens NX, focusing on mechanical and harness designs.
• Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings for mechanical and harness components.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure design integrity and functionality.
• Perform detailed design reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems.
• Ensure designs adhere to industry regulations and safety standards.
• Work closely with customer teams to meet project goals and deadlines.

Who are we looking for? 

• Proven experience on working on Instrumentation systems, with a focus on Siemens NX Mechanical Design.
• Strong expertise in harness design, particularly for complex mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with the aerospace or automotive industry is highly desirable.

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

• Minimum Bachelors degree in the engineering related field.
