Job Description

What will you be doing? 

As a Design Engineer, you will join Warwick team to support our activities within the Automotive sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Design and develop automotive interior components, such as dashboards, door panels, consoles, and seats, ensuring they meet aesthetic, functional, and safety requirements.
• Create 3D models and 2D detailed drawings for assemblies and components using Catia V5 and/or 3DX.
• Develop lightweight, stiff structures with minimal supervision while considering manufacturability, cost, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure designs meet all technical and quality standards.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes like injection moulding, compression forming, back injection, and trimming.
• Expertise in geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) standards (BS8888/ASME Y14).
• Ability to create both assembly and detailed drawings to industry standards.
•  Ability to identify and solve complex design challenges independently.
