Job Description

What will you be doing? 

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will join our team in Derby to support our activities within the Aerospace and/or Defence sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and structures for aerospace/defence projects.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including systems engineers, manufacturing teams, and project managers, to ensure designs meet project requirements.
• Conduct design reviews, ensuring compliance with aerospace/defence standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation for all designs and processes, including technical reports and manuals.
• Ensure cost-effective design solutions while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

• A Bachelor’s or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• More than two years’ experience in relevant aerospace/defence role(s)
• Proficient in CAD software(s) preferably Siemens NX, but not limited too.
