Job Description

We are seeking a talented C# software engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in automating the 3D detail design process for Gas Turbine Engine components, specifically Turbine and Compressor Blades. This involves developing software tools that integrate seamlessly into a multidisciplinary design optimization workflow. The ideal candidate will have a software background with a strong and demonstrable understanding of mechanical design

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation Development: Design and implement automated solutions to streamline the geometry creation process.
• CAD Modeling: Utilize Siemens NX to create and modify complex 3D models.
• Software Development: Write efficient and maintainable C# code to implement automated tools.
• Integration: Integrate developed tools into the existing design optimization workflow.
• Testing and Validation: Rigorously test and validate software to ensure quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Essential:
  • C#: Strong C# programming skills with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Siemens NX: Proven experience in NX, particularly in automation and customization.
  • CAD Modeling: At least 1 year of experience in CAD modeling.
  • Version Control: Proficiency in Git.
  • Azure DevOps: Basic knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Desirable:
  • Software Engineering Degree
  • Experience with Azure Pipelines

Additional Requirements:

• Location: Willingness to travel to Derby twice a week.
