Job Description

What will you be doing? 

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Dyno Test Engineer to join our engineering team. This role will involve setting up, conducting, and analysing dynamometer tests on automotive components and systems, including engines, transmissions, and electric drivetrains.

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Dynamometer Testing: Set up and conduct dynamometer tests on engines, transmissions, and related automotive systems to measure performance, efficiency, and durability.
• Data Collection & Analysis: Record, analyze, and interpret test data to evaluate component performance. Identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
• Test Planning: Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to define testing objectives, develop test plans, and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate dynamometer equipment, ensuring all testing instruments are functional, safe, and compliant with quality standards.
• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve test-related issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruptions to testing schedules.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on test results and findings. Present data to project stakeholders and provide recommendations based on analysis.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with dynamometer testing, automotive testing equipment, and data acquisition systems.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and interpretation.
