Job Description

What will you be doing? 

As a Project Engineer, you will join our Aberdeen team to support our activities within the Marine sector. At ALTEN, we’re offering you the chance to work on cutting-edge underwater vision systems with applications in subsea exploration and hazardous environments. This is your opportunity to be part of a team revolutionizing marine technology and pushing the boundaries of underwater innovation.

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Update product manuals for Bowtech Marine products, ensuring technical accuracy and clarity.
• Manage document control, handling up-revs and ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Develop document templates, establishing standardized formats and guidelines.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure alignment between documentation and product functionality.
• Support mechanical engineering tasks, providing insight where required to enhance product documentation.
• Maintain strict adherence to BPSS clearance requirements and secure handling of sensitive information.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

• Solid experience in project engineering, technical documentation, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technical Writing, or related discipline.
• Experience with technical documentation for engineering or marine products is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with underwater vision systems or marine technology is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of document control systems and template creation.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Awareness of mechanical engineering principles is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in tools like MS Office, SharePoint, and document management systems.
