Job Description

At ALTEN Ltd, we are a leading engineering and technology consultancy driving innovation across the Aerospace, Defence, and Automotive sectors. We are looking for experienced Aerospace Design Engineers to join our team and contribute to the design and development of airframe structural packages for high-profile aerospace projects.

Role Overview:

As a Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in finalizing work package designs, ensuring alignment with industry standards and program-specific methodologies.

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Contribute to the design and development of metallic and non-metallic aircraft structures.
• Utilize advanced CAD tools, including CATIA V5 and Fibersim, to create detailed designs.
• Manage data through PLM tools like Teamcenter and Windchill.
• Follow methods, processes, and procedures akin to leading aerospace programs (e.g., Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, or defence initiatives).
• Support design finalization, adhering to the highest quality standards.
• Provide technical insights and recommendations throughout the development cycle.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the aerospace sector focusing on aircraft structures (metallic and non-metallic).
• Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., CATIA V5, Fibersim).
• Experience with PLM tools such as Teamcenter and Windchill.
• Familiarity with methodologies and processes from major aerospace programs.
• UKEO Clearance is mandatory.
• Signatory experience in aerospace design will be an added advantage.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering field.
