Job Description

Are you driven to elevate supplier performance and lead impactful improvement initiatives? Become a Supplier Development Leader with ALTEN, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping success on critical aerospace projects. Partner with suppliers and internal teams to enhance quality, streamline costs, and achieve exceptional delivery outcomes while tackling innovative engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement supplier development strategies to enhance performance and capabilities.
• Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and performance reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Identify and resolve supplier quality and delivery issues through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Lead training and development initiatives to drive supplier improvement and accountability.
• Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics, fostering continuous improvement.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support project objectives.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related fields (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supplier development, quality assurance, or supply chain management.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools such as SAP.
• Experience conducting supplier audits, assessments, and developing improvement plans.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to enhance supplier quality and delivery performance.
• Sole British citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO and Six Sigma.
• Familiarity with process improvement techniques and supply chain optimisation.
• Experience in supplier development within aerospace or other complex engineering industries.
